Static firing of Space Shuttle solid rocket motor at Thiokol Corporation's Wasatch Division, Brigham City, Utah. The motor, weighing more than 1.2 million pounds and containing 1.1 million pounds of propellant, burns for a full two minutes, producing a peak thrust of 3 million pounds.
