Young in the Gemini Ejection Seat
During one of the Gemini ejection seat tests, the hatch failed to open and
the ejection seat went through a 2-inch thick hull - Young commented:
"That's one hell of a headache, but a short one."
"...in the test business you
learn to take just one thing at a time. If you worry about the last part
of a job at the beginning, you just may not get to the last part."

On centrifuge training:
"... I blacked out once completely
because my seat did not fit right and my back was set at a bad angle. Despite
this, the centrifuge was fun."
