More than 50 specialists from Johnson Space Center, IBM and Rockwell International worked to diagnose the computer problem that had caused a scrub of the first launch attempt. It took about five hours for the specialists to determine the timing problem between the computers; a work-around was produced later the same night.

When asked if the astronauts would mind eating stale sandwiches (because the sandwiches hadn't been replaced after the aborted launch):
